Small business advertising

Advertising, something that you need to do to help your business grow, but often small businesses can’t afford them when starting out.

So I started to find some free options to keep my name active in the online world.
Living in a small town the biggest asset you can have on your side is word of mouth. Planting seeds with friends/family & people who own other small businesses can spread your name like wild fire. Also try attending networking events in your area to meet new people and find potential leads.

Obviously, a massive free marketing tool is Facebook! Used the right way, Facebook can increase your customer base enormously. After watching recent webinars on the way that Facebook works, apparently by not paying to sponsor posts you can often fall into Facebooks ‘good books’ & generate better organic views on your posts. Invite friends, ask family to share your page & share your posts to local business pages & buy, swap, sells.

Adding your business to Web Search Pages like True Local & Yellow Pages can make your business show up when people are googling for services like you in their area. A simple google search could get you that job you need.

Google My Business, making your business registered with Google can let people know you are legitimate. Doing this also lists your business on Google Maps & lets customers review you on a star rating. This gives potential customers a better chance of choosing you over your competitor.

I hope these help you with your small business advertising!
