Client Profile – September 2022!

Just so you know that it is okay to ask for help and outsource some of your workloads, here is my second client profile – Karyn from Head2Toe First Aid.

Karyn delivers first aid-related training courses across the Adelaide region in South Australia. Karyn delivers nationally recognised training courses for clients in wide variety of industries and specialties. In addition to this, she offers information sessions for parents (both current and expecting) helping them prepare for life with children. Using her experience as a nurse, Karyn’s training courses are personalised and extremely helpful.  

Why did you look for administrative help?

I felt like I was drowning in work and not able to switch off.  I started a business to be more flexible in my work but the opposite was happening.  I also knew that the admin side of my business exhausted me and I was not efficient and did not enjoy it… there was a reason I became a nurse and it wasn’t paperwork ha ha!

Do you think the extra expense of paying for administrative help, outweighs the time it would take for you to complete the tasks?

Absolutely! I can now focus on decisions I need to make; I have more energy for the training I do and most importantly when I am with my family, I can focus on them.  Kaitlin is 1000x more efficient at admin than me so paying her to do what she is good at frees me up to do what I am good at which ultimately increases revenue.

Do you have any tips or suggestions for someone who may be struggling with their administration?

Outsource NOW!

I wish I had done it sooner.  It is important to find someone with the skills you need and that takes the time to understand your business.  Prior to Kaitlin I had had experiences with VAs that made me question if it was worth it as they didn’t get my business or fully understand what was needed and so it was hard to hand over control.  When I found Kaitlin, it was easy to trust and get the full benefit of her skill and experience.  Now I tell her my ideas and ask her to research and come back with a plan…  wish I had found her sooner!!
