Virtual Assistant

What is a Virtual Assistant (VA)?
Ultimately a Virtual Assistant (VA) is a self-employed person who offers specialised support to individuals and businesses in relation to administration from a remote location (virtually).

Commonly shortened to ‘VA’, we offer a wide range of skill sets which can be accessed by businesses without the need to put on an employee OR search for a specifically skilled person in their region.

Whilst there is no specific formal qualification for this position, most VA’s will hold relevant study in areas such as administration and marketing.

With access to internet, cloud programs, video calls, document sharing and more, having someone work for you that is not physically in your office is something so easily worked around.

What Can a VA Do for You?
VA’s have a vast range of skills that they can apply to businesses in need. Each VA’s skills will vary (like the Services I offer), however the main tasks include:

  • Replying to emails and enquiries
  • Business marketing – such as Facebook and social media accounts
  • Calendar scheduling and updating
  • Researching and booking travel related arrangements
  • Writing of relevant blogs
  • Data entry and CRM management
  • Manual entry for reminder email and text systems

All VA’s should be able to confidentially assist businesses both small and large with daily and ad-hoc administrative tasks.

Why Should You Use a VA?
There are many benefits to using a Virtual Assistant, honestly I could keep listing for hours! Below are my top 10 reasons to use a VA.

  1. They are contracted, there are no employee-related taxes, insurance or benefits required by Fair Trading.
  2. No need for you to purchase additional equipment or find office space.
  3. You are paying for what you are getting, there are no unproductive staff members.
  4. Removes the chance of staff personality clashes and associated issues.
  5. The process is overall cheaper and easier for you.
  6. They are specialists in their set areas.
  7. No requirement of costs involved with possibly extra required software.
  8. Flexibility to get a VA to do just what you need when you need it.
  9. Can hire them for small periods as you need them and not required to set certain hours.
  10. And you are supporting other small businesses.

Points To Take Away!
– VA’s are experienced and skilled individuals to help your businesses administration!
– They are more cost effective for your business!
– Tasks are often never too big or too small for them to take on!
– Can be contracted on an ad-hoc basis!
– A real benefit towards you and your organisation!
